Primavera P6 is used to plan and control project schedules. Schedulers break scope into a work breakdown structure (WBS), add activities and calendars, connect dependencies, calculate dates with the critical path method (CPM), and track progress against a baseline. This course teaches that workflow in P6 Professional.

Yes. It begins with navigation and project structure, then builds your planning skills through practical exercises. Basic project-management vocabulary is helpful, but prior P6 or data-center experience is not required.

The hands-on workflow is centered on the P6 Professional desktop client. The scheduling principles transfer to EPPM environments, but administration and web-only configuration are outside this course.

Yes. The learning path covers project setup, work breakdown structure, activity IDs, milestones, durations and working calendars. You then connect activities with scheduling logic and use codes, filters and layouts to create useful views of the project.

Yes. You will work with activity dependencies, run the P6 schedule and interpret total float, free float, critical activities and the longest path. The focus is understanding what drives the project finish, including the effect of constraints, calendars and incomplete logic—not just identifying red bars.

Yes. The course covers creating and assigning baselines, setting a controlled data date, entering actual starts and finishes, reviewing remaining duration and rescheduling. You then compare the updated schedule with the baseline and explain changes through look-aheads and a progress narrative.

The course includes roles, labor, non-labor and material resources, budgeted units, rates and costs. You will explore resource usage profiles and over-allocation, then use that information in schedule reviews. This is an introduction to resource and cost loading, not a specialist estimating course.

Yes. The exchange and handover module introduces spreadsheet, XER and XML workflows, field mapping, import actions, backups and post-import checks. An ordinary Excel workbook is not automatically P6-importable: use the appropriate export template and verify the fields and import options for your P6 version.

No. The course teaches transferable Primavera P6 planning and scheduling skills, not engineering design. Alderbank Pumping Station is the guided and assessed capstone, using a defined 40–60-activity scope with supplied drawings and assumptions. Atlas DH1 Zone A remains included as an additional practice case covering one section of a fictional data center.

The preparation brief is released on October 10. Review the selected drawings and prepare draft activities before the October 17 workshop. We then use the 3D classroom to understand the scope, check WBS and activity logic, establish a baseline and explore a controlled change. The October 24 individual practical assessment uses a fresh Alderbank scenario. Submit your P6 project, schedule PDF, assumptions and drawing references, baseline comparison and an explanation of five important relationships.

No. The guided workshop uses a selected 40–60-activity work package, with preparation between sessions. The classroom includes the original 248-activity outline and an expanded 304-activity revision for reference and further practice; neither is a four-hour classroom build. Their public CSV files are teaching outlines, not validated P6 import templates.

The 15-second video shows the detailed Alderbank 3D teaching model from three perspectives: an exterior orbit, a roof-and-wall cutaway and a closer systems section. This is a realistic project-based planning exercise, not a claim of work on a live commission. The preview is not an interactive classroom or a model download. Enrollment adds the structured P6 learning path, live instructor-led workshops, a scoped capstone brief, guided scheduling practice, recordings and an individual course assessment. The tutor reference is not the final exam.

The US$699 one-time offer includes three four-hour live online workshops, a separate four-hour course exam session, the 16-module learning path, the guided Alderbank capstone and assessment, the additional Atlas DH1 data-center practice case, practice files and schedule-health checklists. There are 12 core modules and four applied introductions; these are curriculum topics, not 16 separate live sessions. An additional 8-hour pre-recorded Delay Analysis Foundation is included as a bonus, separate from the live sessions. You also receive one-year video access and a P6 Control Room course certificate when you pass the exam with 80% or above. There are 16 scheduled hours total, including short breaks in workshops.

Teaching workshops take place on October 3, October 10 and October 17, 2026, followed by the course exam on October 24, 2026. All four Saturdays run at the same time: 10 AM–2 PM Eastern / 7–11 AM Pacific / 3–7 PM UK (BST). There are 12 workshop hours plus a four-hour exam session: 16 scheduled hours total, including short breaks in workshops.

Yes. The sample-lessons section has six free public videos from The True Troop, including the complete P6 walkthrough, installation, linking activities, baselines, longest path and look-aheads. They let you preview the teaching approach and are separate from the paid course library.

No. P6 Control Room is independent practical training from The True Troop. It is not an Oracle-issued certification, and enrollment does not include an Oracle exam or software license. The course focuses on learning and applying scheduling skills.

Yes. You earn a P6 Control Room course certificate from The True Troop by passing the course exam with 80% or above. The October 24, 2026 individual practical assessment uses a fresh Alderbank scenario and asks you to submit and explain your own scheduling work. Attendance or enrollment alone does not award the certificate. This is our course certificate, not an Oracle-issued certification.

Course recordings become available 30 minutes after each session ends. Your one-year video access runs from October 3, 2026 to October 3, 2027, so early enrollment does not reduce your viewing period. The six public sample lessons and Alderbank project preview video are separate from the paid course recordings.

Practicing WBS development, activity logic, baselines and progress updates gives you concrete scheduling decisions to discuss in an interview. The capstone helps you explain your own work, but the course does not guarantee employment or replace project experience. A dedicated interview-preparation service is not included in this offer.
